2. Definitions |
| |
| 2.1 |
Stake: is the amount placed on a bet.
| 2.2 |
Winnings: is calculated by multiplying the stake by the odds of the selected event. In case of multiple bets, the amount is calculated by multiplying all the odds between themselves and then multiplying this number by the stake.
| 2.3 |
Service charge: On any bet made by phone or fax we apply a service charge of 3% of the stake (Internet bets are Taxfree).
| 2.4 |
Single/Multiple bet: a Single is a bet on one selection in one event. Your selection must be successful to get a return. A multiple consists of one bet involving two or more selections. All must be successful to get a return.
| 2.5 |
Minimum/Maximum selections: indicates the minimum/maximum number of selections that can be combined with given events. (e.g. the match Liverpool-Arsenal reads "Sel. Min.1 Max.5", means that it can be selected alone or combined with a maximum of 4 other matches)
| 2.6 |
Compatibility: min./max. indicates whether various selections or sports events can be combined . (e.g. It may not be possible to combine a basketball match with a F1 race.)
| 2.7 |
Void bets or events: void bets have no effect on the calculation of winnings. If a single bet is void, the stake will be refunded (including tax if applicable). In case of multiple bets, only the void events will be considered void and indicated by a "V" (void).
| 2.8 |
Combinations: is a bet that gives you the chance to "hedge" your bets by selecting some of the events as fixed (Bankers).
| 2.9 |
Under/Over Score: You have to forecast whether the total number of goals will be under or over the given number. "Under" will be successful where you forecast a lower total than the given figure."Over" will be successful where you forecast a higher total than the given figure.
| 2.10 |
Head-to-Head: You have to forecast which out of two competitors will win the match or have the best time.
| 2.11 |
Handicap: The outcome of the bet is obtained by adding or subtracting the handicap quoted from the Home team's final result. e.g.: (+9.5) Dallas - San Diego; to be successful Dallas must win by at least 10 points.
| 2.12 |
Goal/No Goal (GG/NG): GG will be successful when both teams score during the regular 90 minutes (e.g. 1-1, 2-1, 2-3); NG will be successful when either team fails to score (e.g. 0-0, 1-0, 0-2). This type of selection is minimum trebles (T) and can be combined only with other GG/NG.
| 2.13 |
ANTEPOST or A/P is a bet on the final outcome (winning or placed) of a competition, a league or a race.

Globet shall be entitled to suspend or close the account if it is reasonably considered or there is reason to believe that the client is depositing money without any intention to place bets/wagers. In such circumstances Globet may also report this to relevant authorities.

| 4.4 |
The client cannot modify or cancel a bet already accepted by the company.
| 4.5 |
The company does not accept bets on credit: the acceptance of a bet is subject to sufficient credit in the account.
| 4.6 |
Bets wrongly accepted with no funds on the account will be cancelled.
| 4.7 |

| 4.9 |
All the bets placed before the official scheduled time will be valid.
| 4.10 |
Bets accepted in error after the start of an event will be VOID. For multiple bets, only that event will be considered VOID. The multiple bet will be considered valid even though the minimum number of betting events required has not been met. If the bet is placed with the obvious aim of defrauding the Company, for example, where the customer already knows the result, Globet reserves the right to close the account and keep any funds for a minimum period of two years.
| 4.11 |
A bet in which the result or part of it can influence the result of another part is not allowed (e.g. Milan-Juve 1 combined with Milan-Juve 1/1 and with Milan Juve 1-0). If a bet like this is wrongly accepted, the selections that influence each other will be considered with odds equal to one. If the number of the remaining selections does not reach the minimum required the same conditions as the previous point will be applied.
| 4.12 |
All odds are subject to fluctuation; the valid odds for the calculation of the win are those registered in the data processing system of the company while placing the bet.
| 4.13 |
Odds displayed by Globet are for information purposes only. The company reserves the right to modify odds and correct possible mistakes or omissions. In case of obvious mistakes (due for instance to errors in typing, transcriptions or inversions) Globet reserves the right to inform the client about the mistake and to correct the odds (even though the result is known). If this happens, the client will be allowed to change the related selection (before the event starts). To avoid any possible problem the client will have the responsibility of requesting the confirmation of the odds before placing a bet. It should be noted that an error of this nature occurs on average once every 30000 published odds.
| 4.14 |
Clients must place their bets on their own account. Any bet placed with the intent of defrauding Globet and/or placed (without written permission) by/through any bookmaker, betting syndicate and/or person, association, friends or relatives in individual or group form and/or under the advice of any other person, association, friend, relative, company, corporation, will be cancelled and Globet will keep the funds in the account for a minimum period of two years. The directors, managers, members of the federation, team members and subscribers are forbidden from placing or accepting bets, directly or through a third party, on the results of official matches organised by the FIGC.
| 4.15 |
Bets on events belonging to different sports may be placed (unless otherwise specified) if the minimum number of selections is reached (e.g. Italian Basketball min. 3 sel. + Italian Volleyball min. 3 sel. = 6 sel.)
| 4.16 |
For every selection, there are definitions of the criteria of compatibility and minimum and maximum number for multiple bets. These criteria are explained on the web-site and other methods of communication normally employed by the company.
| 4.17 |
If a bet does not respect the criteria of compatibility or the minimum or maximum number of selections required, it will be deemed void.

| 5.7 |
Every telephone call is taped and kept for at least 30 days (maximum length of time for lodging a claim). A client placing bets via telephone, accepts implicitly that the conversation will be recorded.
| 5.8 |
The telephone recording is conclusive proof in case of dispute.
| 5.9 |
In case of a bet sent via fax the selection odds will be those held in the data processing system while placing the related bet. Globet reserves the right to vary odds and/or correct possible mistakes, wrong amounts or involuntary omissions.
| 5.10 |

| 6.4 |
When the system accepts a bet on-line, it gives a confirmation code of 4+14 alphanumeric characters that guarantee the correct transmission and receipt of the client's bet. When the transmission takes place but no confirmation code is given by the system the client will have to telephone (+44 (0)2082464801)or e-mail (globet@globet.com) quoting the Account No and the bet reference number. Any claim will be disregarded if this code is not provided.
| 6.5 |
The company does not take any responsibility for any damage or loss caused to the client by the web-site or its contents and omissions or mistakes in these, delays or interruptions of transmissions, errors or loss of data, damage in the communication lines, interception or improper use of any information broadcast on the internet. |
7. Calculating and paying off winnings |
| |
| 7.1 |
The calculation of the winnings on a determined event/competition will take place at the conclusion of the last event.
| 7.2 |
All winnings will be credited to the client's account.
| 7.3 |
Unless otherwise specified, odds are expressed in decimals and include the stake. Examples of equivalents: Decimal odds 3.00 = 200 (Italian odds) = 2/1 (English odds) = +200 (American odds) Decimal odds 1.50 = 50 (Italian odds) = 1/2 (English odds) = -200 (American odds) Decimal odds 1.25 = 25 (Italian odds) = 1/4 (English odds) = -400 (American odds)
| 7.4 |
In the case of singles bets, a win is calculated as the stake multiplied by the odds given to the event selected. E.g.: if one bets £ 100 on a team that wins with an odds of 2.50, the winning are £ 250 (100 x 2.50). The net winnings are £ 150 (£ 250 winnings - £100 stake).
| 7.5 |
The accumulated winning amount of a multiple bet is calculated by multiplying the stake by the product of the odds of the selected events. E.g.: if one bets £ 100 on three events having as odds 1.25, 2.00, 2.40, the winnings amount is £ 600 (£ 100 x 1.25 x 2.00 x 2.40). The net winnings are £ 500 (£ 600 winnings - £ 100 stake).
| 7.6 |
There is no limit for the total odds of single or multiple bets.
| 7.7 |
The maximum weekly winning for each client or betting syndicate is €50.000 (or equivalent in all other currencies) independently of the number of placed bets. Globet reserves the right to revoke the winning amounts exceeding €50.000 on the account of a client or of a number of clients controlled by a betting syndicate. The week is intended to start from Monday at 15:00:00 GMT to the following Monday at 14:59:59. The maximum winning amount for a bet is €30.000 (or equivalent in all other currencies). Globet reserves the right to revoke winning amounts exceeding €50.000 relating to the total weekly winnings credited to the account of a client or of a number of clients controlled by a betting syndicate.
| 7.8 |
If an event is cancelled, for the purpose of calculating winnings it is considered as having odds equal to 1.00. If it is a single selection the entire stake is refunded.
| 7.9 |
Globet cannot be held responsible for the wrong publication of sport results. The results taken into consideration will be those published by the relevant Governing Sporting Body at the end of the event. Any other subsequent modification of the results (due to disciplinary measures or any legal intervention) will have no effect on the calculation of the bets. In the case of a suspected criminal action affecting the events, Globet reserves the right to suspend crediting the related winnings until the necessary investigations have been finalised. If these investigations confirm irregularities the bets and the related winnings may be cancelled.
| 7.10 |
Dead Heat: where an event normally has a single winner but the result is a dead heat and the rules do not cater for this, the odds of the winning selections are divided by the total number of winners (e.g. if one selects a winner with odds equal to 1.90 and the result of the event is a dead heat, the odds will be divided by 2, thus becoming 0.95).
